Shiftall Inc. has developed “Croqy”, an IoT device with hand-writing texts and drawings, in CES 2021 which was held online. This new product will be unveiled at the “CES 2021 Panasonic in Tokyo” on January 12th 2021. It will be launched in early 2021 and the MSRP is expected to JPY 19,999 (tax included).
Croqy is an IoT device with hand-writing texts and drawings that offers a whole new writing and drawing experience with the attached stylus to another Croqy. It is also possible to send (synchronize) to a smartphone with a mobile App. Then grandchildren’s handwritten notes can be sent to their grandparents’ Croqy, who lives away, and parents can check their children’s notes on their smartphones on the go. The network service and mobile App are basically free of charge.
The advantages of paper notes is that they have the unique flavor of hand-writing and the addition of small illustrations and diagrams. Other messenger apps can convey their thoughts to people at a distance via the Internet. Croqy is expected to create a new communication demand by combining the advantages of both.
By using electronic paper for the display, the notes are always on the screen. The device can be used for about 2 months on a 1 time charge, and once it is connected to the Internet, it is easy to operate, just write a memo and click the send button. Even children and the elderly persons can use it intuitively.
