Shiftall Inc. today began pre-orders for the HaritoraX 2 Add-on R, an expansion kit that uses a camera to automatically correct drift in the HaritoraX 2, HaritoraX 2 Pro, and HaritoraX Wireless full-body tracking devices. Shipping will begin in July.
Together with HaritoraX 2, priced at $299, the total price is $448, enabling the ultimate full-body tracking experience with no drift even during extended use and no blind spots.
When purchased together with HaritoraX 2 or HaritoraX 2 Pro, a 5% bundle discount is applied to the HaritoraX 2 Add-on R.
While IMU tracking requires no base stations and offers exceptional battery life with zero occlusion, “drift”—where the avatar's legs and chest gradually twist in the yaw direction during prolonged use—used to be the price paid by long-time IMU tracking users. The HaritoraX 2 Add-on R fixes this issue by utilizing an IR camera to auto-correct drift continuously in real-time with just a 0.1-second view. With no need for manual re-calibration, it delivers the finest FBT experience in VR.
The attachment plates are made only of plastic and reflective material, with no battery inside. This ensures that the HaritoraX 2 fully preserves its core advantages: its featherlight weight of approximately 17g(0.6 oz) per sensor and its industry-leading long battery life.
Setup is remarkably straightforward, requiring users to simply position the camera and attach the plates to each sensor. Everything is controlled seamlessly via the familiar Shiftall VR Manager software, eliminating the need to install or configure any third-party applications.
